SENIOR STAFF CSLT-PROD MGT/PRD DEV
Position Summary: This individual has the responsibility for supporting the development of Verizon’s mobile consumer offerings in the US market. This individual will be an expert in all phases of service development from initial concept design, business modeling and analysis, development, implementation, launch, and product roadmap maintenance. Familiarity with mobile content, mobile technologies and service platforms is critical as is prior expertise in building and launching consumer oriented services with or at a mobile software or solutions company.
Common Essential Duties & Resp.
- Develop business case and ROI models for content and service offerings
- Work closely with internal and external teams for software and platform requirements for content and service offerings
- Work closely with cross-functional teams towards launch and promotion of new services
- Work closely with the product planning team and the user experience team to deliver the optimum content and service experiences on Verizon Mobile devices
- Document and maintain roadmap for Mobile Handset and Services
- Lead evaluation and selection of third party vendors/partners to develop and launch new services by negotiating key strategic partnerships and contracts.
- Operational responsibility for the development and analysis of sales data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various Mobile devices and Verizon Branded Applications
o Analyze sales metrics to establish key performance indicators (KPI)
o Use KPI to develop and implement recommendations to improve market share
o Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance data to required personnel.
o Work directly with Verizon Go to Market teams to ensure consistency and quality of sales/performance data
Background / Experience
- Bachelor`s Degree in Electrical Engineering or technology field with Masters Degree in business or a field of technology from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with mobile or web-based company in a product marketing or product development role with 2-3 years experience with services development.
- Understanding of mobile & web programming platform evolution a plus (HTML, Java, Flash, Brew.. etc)
- Understanding of the dynamics of the US mobile market and an appreciation for the complexity in the value chain and the role of the service providers.
- Prior experience with supporting RFI and RFP processes for outsourcing and development activities.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
- Very strong analytical, problem solving written and verbal skills
- Mature understanding of building, operating, and launching services in the US market
- Powerpoint expertize
- Capable of managing several high profile programs and project activities to completion
- Comfortable with presenting in front of customers and business executives
- Works very collaboratively across teams
- Highly motivated and able to think proactively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate meetings and develop relationships with external and internal departments
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ
Compensation: $50.00 on a W2 or $55.00 on a 1099
